Welcome to the Scunthorpe & District Running Club, based at Brumby Hall and open to runners of every pace, background, and experience level. Whether you’re chasing faster times, building fitness, or simply enjoy getting out for a relaxed run, our club offers a friendly and supportive environment to help you progress.

 

About Our Club

 

We run two structured training sessions each week, designed to offer variety and keep things fun and challenging. Every session is suitable for all abilities — from complete beginners to experienced runners.

 

Our training includes:

 

  • Long, steady social runs

  • Speed sessions

  • Hill workouts

  • Technique and endurance-focused training

 

Speed doesn’t matter — only enthusiasm!
If you want to run, we’ll make sure you feel welcome, supported, and part of the group.

Guests are always invited to come along and try a session.

 

Qualified Coaches

 

All club sessions are led by UKA-accredited and CRB-checked Coaches and Run Leaders.
Our leaders are club runners themselves, undergoing regular training and assessment to ensure members receive safe, structured, and enjoyable coaching.

Member celebrating drum draw

Are you in the drum draw yet?

The App Frod Sports and Social Club Drum Draw was launched in 1962 and is open to all members. All money raised from the Drum Draw goes into providing and enhancing App Frod's sports and leisure facilities to be used by our members and the local community.

Each month's prizes range from GBP 50 to GBP 10,000.

Draws are held monthly, with a special £50,000 first prize at Christmas. Winners are notified in writing, and results are published on our Facebook page.
